Qik video

This may be the coolest iphone app out there.  Qik is an application that allows you to video thru the iphone and stream it to their website so other can see REAL TIME.  It is an awesome app because it will allow you to at the same time save those videos.  This is bad to the bone because you now don't have to be apart of a three step process of:

1) Packing around an awkward video camera (on vacations it is nice to shed all of the extra baggage as possible)

2) Going back to a computer and getting (finding) your download cord to connect to your PC to download.

3) Deleting or remembering which files you have or have not deleted from your camera.

This makes it so EASY to video anything you want at anytime because you always have your phone but probably don't always have your video camera.  There are alot of times there are cool things that our kids do but we may not have a video camera (because we are out and about) or I may be too lazy to walk up the stairs and get the camera.

This app allows you to create a website and anyone you allow can go on the site and see what you are video taping and it will save the file when you are done.  You can embed the site into a blog also so if someone goes to your blog they can see your videos.  I think this application would be cool for events (sporting, recitals etc.) that friends or family may not be able to make it to but they could watch it on a PC or view it later online.  Awesome... the possibilities are endless.

The limitation is that you have to have either a 3G connection or Wifi and the quality isn't as good as a good video camera but it isn't bad.  Check out my site.
