WOW - 30

So that day finally came and went and I can't believe it.  I will know longer be in the mist of the 20's.  I have to have it together now and can't blame being young.  I know longer have to think about how old I am.  Sometimes when asked how old I was I got lost in the numbers and took me a while to think.  Now it is burned into my brain.

I have had an awesome weekend.   On Friday I got to take a half day and play golf w/ Mark Wheeler and Preston Basha.  We played Lonetree and it was a beautiful day.  70 degrees and sunny, I got some sun on my drumstick legs.  I didn't play very well but it was really fun.  After Lindsay and I went on a date with some friends in the ward.

Yesterday was an awesome day also.  I got to sleep in (til 7) and then Lindsay made me a breakfast burrito.  Then we went on a bike ride with a pull trailer that the Lesueurs lent us for the kids.  We went up and down some of the local trails and it was a beautiful day and perfect bike weather.  We saw about 20 vultures along the way on top of a neighborhood house so that was kind of random.  I think they heard I was getting older and waiting to see if I was going to keel over on my bike.

After that Lindsay had another surprise in store.  We went to Lifetime Fitness and checked the kids into day care and sat in the hot tub for a while and then went into the Sauna.  I think that was the first time I had been in the Sauna with Lindsay so I gave the historical/educational background of the Finnish Sauna and some of my weird experiences in it.  There was no frozen lake to jump into at the gym so she didn't get the full experience but close enough.

Then Lindsay had another surprise in store for me.  We got in the car and drove and got in front of a massage envy.  Lindsay's mom bought me a massage and I was pumped about that.  It had been awhile since I have had a massage.  I  got pummeled for an hour as my knots were worked out and the masseuse said that she "liked to be firm".  She "recommended" that I take a bath when I got home to keep the mussels loose.  After that I took a nap because I had to get re-energized for the party Lindsay threw for me.

We had about 25 people over to the house with kids and had a fun time eating hamburgers and cake.  It was awesome weather outside we sat on the back patio and chatted.  Lindsay also got me an Xbox 360 so that will be fun. I have a pretty good life and I love my wife.  Lindsay spent alot of time prepping for this and making it a special day for me.  I love her so much.
